Making chocolate ganache was one of my jobs when I worked in my dad's bakery. It's a simple process that yields an incredibly elegant result: Blend the best chocolate you can find with a heated mixture of sugar and heavy cream and you get a frosting that's sinfully delicious. Use it on cakes, brownies, or cookies. Leftover ganache keeps beautifully in the refrigerator for a week or in the freezer for several months.
